30 years of searching paid off for Reg Mead and Richard Miles.

The hoard is worth a whopping $15 million and date back to the first century BC. The coins were likely buried by a Celtic tribe to keep them out of the hands of Julius Caesar. This is the duo’s second big find after they unearthed a much smaller hoard back in February. “I am absolutely numb at the moment,” said Mead. “To find one haul of coins in a lifetime is rare, but to find two is just unheard of.”
