This special polymer kills bacteria and fungi when exposed to light.

A chemical reaction between sunlight and titanium dioxide creates free radicals that attack cell walls, killing at least 30 different kinds of bacteria and fungi–the main culprits behind the less-than-appealing black stains on forgotten lawn furniture.
