The aptly-named Golden Phoenix is made from the finest chocolate and a layer of edible gold.
Not just a sprinkling of gold, either–23 carats of it. It was created by Shafeena Yusuff Ali, founder of Bloomsbury’s Cupcakes in Dubai. In her words, “Our aim is to redefine the cupcakes in the Gulf, why can’t a cupcake taste as good as it looks and look as good as it tastes.”
