Mega-Wombats Found in Australia

These massive creatures were the size of rhinos.

Half wombat, half bear, they had a strangely protruding nose and a pouch large enough to hold a human. At least 50 diprotodon skeletons were found in the Australian outback. They are believed to be 100,000 to 200,000 years old.
