With the help of an MRI, brain waves are turned into commands.
Student Tirosh Shapira sat in an MRI machine in Israel, controlling a small robot in France with his mind alone. Whenever Shapira thought about moving an arm or leg, the robot would carry out his thoughts, almost in real-time. The next step for the team behind this experiment will be to beef up their little bot, allowing for more movement and greater finesse.
