The historic document was sold for over $20,000.

It begins, “All hands of the United States Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard may take satisfaction in the conclusion of the war against Japan.” The document was given to Bob York by his father, a Navy veteran, along with other historic cables and photographs from the war.
