The Welsh town of Monmouth, Henry V’s birthplace, has embraced the power of Wikipedia.

Thanks to free town-wide WiFi and QR codes, visitors to Monmouth can learn about its history with their smartphones. QR codes act like physical web links: scanning them with a smartphone pulls up the relevant Wikipedia page. Important landmarks now sport these little plaques, and even local businesses are getting in on the fun. The local bakery has a QR code out front that links to Wikipedia’s article on the history of baking. Check out the video below for more info.
